About the Role
Our public sector client is seeking two (2) Senior Business Consultants for a 2.75 month, full time contract, with the possibility of up to a 6-month extension. The Business Consultants will be required on a full time basis (7.25 hour work day, 36.25 hours/week) and will be needed to develop a Privacy Guide that provides guidance, support and interpretive information on the new Protection of Privacy Act. This guide will help public bodies to become compliant with the new legislation.
Responsibilities will include:
to develop fact sheets related to provisions in the new Protection of Privacy legislation that can be quick reference material for public bodies to use when implementing or applying the new legislation. Examples of fact sheets should include privacy management programs, privacy impact assessments and privacy breach reporting, however can be development on any component of the legislation.
Equipment requirements:
Resource must provide their own computer and related equipment. The computer's operating system must be a modern version of Windows or MacOS that is compatible with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and related software for remote access. Windows is preferred due to better compatibility. AVD/remote-related software will be installed on the resource's computer.
Working Hours
Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the Province.
Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues.
This resource will primarily work remotely; however, the resource may be required to attend meetings or work sessions in the office one or two times per quarter, with reasonable notice from the client. When such notice is provided, the client will specify the expected duration of any meetings or work sessions and the client/Handis Consulting does not pay for travel to attend on-site meetings, nor any expenses related to relocation, commuting, housing/accommodation, food/drink.
